HOW TO: Enlarge a document for the Poster Printer.
Once you have a finished document (works best in a word processing document, even photos) go to Print (as normal).
Select the DesignJet 500PS Properties.

Next, click on the Scale to Fit button.

3) Next, select the button “Fit the document to this paper”. The drop down menu to the right should now be active.

4) Select from the drop down menu a choice of sizes (“D” being the largest standard size available).

5) Click OK, and you MAY get the following Warning. Just click NO.

Click the OK button until you get back to the Print screen and then click OK to print your document! BIG PICTURE! COOL! OOOOOH! AAAAH!
Tips::
Photos come out a bit easier in a word processing document. Copy and paste to a word processing document.
Try to limit pictures in black and white. Black is used very quickly. Reds seemed to be the least used of the colors. I use blue whenever I have the chance (even in my print).
I calculated awhile back about how much it cost per page. It is about 50 cents on average per page. Try to print out practice prints on 8.5 x 11 inch paper first before printing out large posters.
Try to minimize number of copies by really trying to locate MUST HAVE locations for your posters.
STUDENTS SHOULD NEVER USE THE POSTER PRINTER WITHOUT TEACHER SUPERVISION!
